I Am Frankelda
A phantasmagoric celebration of spooky creativity.
The first theatrical stop-motion feature produced in Mexico tells the story of Frankelda, a 19th century writer whose macabre and fantastical stories are simply ahead of their time. Society doesn’t appreciate Frankelda’s boundless imagination until she’s whisked away to a magical world just beyond on our own, inhabited by the monstrous creatures brought to life within the pages of her stories. They need her help, and her talent for storytelling might be the key to saving their world, as well as her own.
